This policy explains what personal information NICH Cycling New Zealand Ltd ("NICH", "we", "us") collects through nichcycling.co.nz, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. We follow the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
NICH Cycling New Zealand Ltd, Auckland, New Zealand. For anything to do with your personal information, email info@nichcycling.co.nz.
Our enquiry form asks for your name, email, phone number, the bike you are interested in and any message you add. We use this to reply to you and to help you choose and order a bike. Your enquiry is emailed to our team, kept in our enquiry records, and you get an automatic confirmation email.
The chat assistant on this site is powered by Claude, an AI service from Anthropic. What you type is sent to Anthropic so it can write a reply. We keep a record of chat conversations so we can follow up with you and improve the answers. If you share your contact details in the chat, our team may get in touch.
We use three analytics tools to understand how the site is used.
These tools record that an enquiry was sent and which bike it was about. We do not send your name, email, phone number or messages to Google or Meta through them.
We do not sell your information. We use trusted service providers to run the site, and they handle information on our behalf:
Most of these providers are based overseas, mainly in the United States, so your information may be stored or processed outside New Zealand. We choose providers that protect personal information to a standard comparable to New Zealand law.
We keep enquiries and chat records for as long as we need them to help you and to keep normal business records. Ask us and we will delete your information unless we have to keep it by law.
You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you and to ask us to correct it. Email info@nichcycling.co.nz and we will respond within 20 working days.
If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
