The Origin

A Rider's Vision

NICH started with a simple question: why should world-class carbon frames cost a fortune and come with zero personal connection to the rider? Kevin Cantwell — competitive cyclist, engineer, and relentless tinkerer — spent two decades studying composite construction, aerodynamics, and frame geometry. In 2018 he founded NICH to prove that hand-finished, race-grade carbon could be delivered direct to riders at a fair price, with real support from real people in New Zealand. Every frame that leaves our workshop carries Kevin's philosophy: no shortcuts in the layup, no compromises on the ride, and no middlemen between builder and rider.
